Happy new year!
A whole decade is over and a new one has begun! Have you made your resolutions for the new year yet? Mark Zuckerberg has gone one step further and set himself a decade-long set of resolutions. If you’re like me though and have yet to set some goals for 2020 but don’t feel like setting some for what feels like an eternity then I’m your gal! Check out these four ways to improve your life:
Yes, the one we dread every single year. It’s all very well Livin’ la Vida Loca during the Christmas season by eating and drinking nonstop but eventually we have to pay for it. In pounds. No, not cash, the scales!
The thing is though, exercise can be a bit boring so why not make it fun? Cassey Ho is an American Pilates teacher who creates videos for Youtube. She makes exercising fun by having catchy pop music to sweat to. She’s also quite bubbly and fun to watch so if you fancy losing some pounds without leaving the house then give her a try.
Read More Books
When was the last time you read a book? Nope, academic books don’t count. Nowadays people tend to find themselves on social media more and more. A like here and a comment there soon takes up a couple of hours of your day. You can combat that by doing something productive. Like picking up a book. I recommend Deep Work by Cal Newport. It’s all about managing your time more effectively and thus becoming more productive.
Cook New Dishes
Why not try your hand at cooking new dishes this year? Get yourself out of that comfort zone and try new flavours. If you’re a pizza lover then you might appreciate the pizza above. It’s easy to make and a real showstopper. You can find the quick video for it here.
You could try something really adventurous like squid ink pasta. Here’s one I made earlier.
Blog, Blog, Blog
So much to say, so little time… It certainly feels that way when it comes to writing blog posts. If you’re finding that you’re blogging less, analyse whether it’s something you still want to do. If you find that you’re still passionate about it, think about minimising the impact it has on your daily life. Use time-saving apps to give you that advantage. Apps such as Hootsuite, Tailwind and IFTT. I found the latter perfect for transmitting news about my blog across all social media.
Hopefully, you’ve found a goal that you can sink your teeth and can start taking steps to a great 2020.
What goals are you looking to smash this year?
